Seaweed Agogo, a company launched in 2019 have secured a deal with the biggest supermarket chain in the United Arab Emirates. Despite still being a fledgling company, the Grimsby based business is already cracking international markets.

Iris works with companies from a wide range of industries and extensively in the food industry with companies like Gousto, Proctor & Gamble and fruit and vegetable giant Jepco Glebe.

Seaweed Agogo, owned by Tracy George and partner Professor Mike Dillon (a world-renowned expert on food sustainability and supply chains) supply seaweed-based snacks.
The snacks are made from only organically grown seaweed with other plant-based/vegan friendly ingredients like herbs, and popcorn.
Various products are available including high protein seawood snacks which are low in sugar/high in fibre and popcorn seaweed which is unique in the UK. Seawood Herb mixes are also available which can used to add flavour and health benefits to other foods and meals.
Agogo finalised a deal for their products to be stocked in the largest Middle Eastern supermarket chain in the United Arab Emirates, with negotiations underway for further deals to supply stores in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, and other countries in the region.
With the hospitality industry getting back on its feet, Seaweed Agogo owners are positive about growing the business further with new developments and an expanding product range.
